About the Role
Technicon Design Sweden is looking for a highly skilled Senior Light Designer to join our clients Studio in Gothenburg.
In this role, you will shape the future of automotive lighting, defining cutting-edge solutions across both interior and exterior environments. You will conceive, simulate, and prototype innovative lighting concepts that combine brand identity, safety, and emotional impact.
Working within our clients Technology & Innovation team, you will collaborate closely with Exterior & Interior Design, CMF, UX, and Engineering to deliver forward-thinking lighting solutions that meet both regulatory requirements and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver innovative lighting concepts (ambient, functional, and communication lighting)
Design lighting solutions aligned with vehicle styling, architecture, and technical constraints
Integrate lighting seamlessly into surfaces, gaps, materials, and design features
Use advanced tools (visualization, simulation, VR) to validate lighting effects and feasibility
Create and present compelling concepts to stakeholders and suppliers
Build and validate prototypes (internally and with suppliers) to bring concepts to life
Collaborate cross-functionally to push technology boundaries and ensure manufacturability
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial, Product, Transportation, Interaction, or Lighting Design
5+ years of experience in automotive lighting or related industries (e.g., consumer products, architecture)
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical lighting work
Proficiency in lighting design and visualization tools
Experience translating concepts into feasible, production-ready solutions
Hands-on approach with rapid prototyping and basic electrical/electronic knowledge
Strong communication and storytelling skills (fluent English required)
Knowledge of automotive lighting regulations is a plus

10240 Contract On-Site Accepting Candidates Technicon Design US is hiring a highly experienced Senior Vehicle Travel Technician to support our client in the Bay Area of California. The primary worksite will be located just northwest of Phoenix, Arizona.
The Senior Vehicle Travel Technician provides expert, hands-on support for electric vehicle (EV) beta/prototype modifications across multiple locations, including Michigan, Arizona, and overseas. This role independently executes complex electrical integration, vehicle harness build/modification, chassis rework, and minor fabrication with little to no guidance. The technician partners closely with engineering teams to implement changes quickly and correctly, ensures vehicles are left in a safe and functional condition, maintains clean and safe workspaces, and trains other teams to enable repeatable, high-quality execution.
Job Functions:
Lead and execute EV beta/prototype vehicle modifications with minimal direction in fast-changing development environments.
Interpret and apply wiring schematics, pinouts, connector views, and routing documentation to on-vehicle implementation.
Produce vehicle harnesses and sub-harnesses; modify and repair harnessing (splicing, de-pin/re-pin, connector repair, shielding/grounding, strain relief, looming, labeling).
Modify electrical components and wiring to support prototype changes, packaging constraints, and test needs.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using standard diagnostic methods/tools; document findings and corrective actions.
Support electrified vehicle systems where applicable; follow high-voltage safety practices, PPE requirements, and site procedures (within training/authorization limits).
