• Collaborate with engineers to build, modify, instrument, and test mechanical, electrical, thermal components, and systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis of early characterization and validation component failures.
• Perform machining and fabrication work in support of prototype and test efforts.
• Design and build test fixtures and assembly tools.
• Assemble and debug test equipment hardware and control systems.
• Execute experiments to support systems, safety, hardware, and software development, collect test data, manage data storage, retention, backup, and access.

Technicon Design US is seeking an experienced and talented automotive Vehicle Integration Technician with a strong desire to work in a collaborative lab shaping the vehicles of tomorrow.
This position is located in the southern Los Angeles area. It is a contract opportunity (6 months to 1 year to start).
Job Functions:
Diagnose and repair ECU’s and PCB’s, including prototypes and test bench setups.
Communicate with fellow team members (engineers, managers or other technicians) to provide technical support.
Maintain detailed records of work completed and create documentation for test and assembly processes.
Rework printed circuit boards according to engineering specifications and standards.
This position is for someone with basic skills of soldering, making wiring harnesses, testing components and PCB’s using “test stations”, not analytical testing. Small units will be assembled and sent for assembly into Electric vehicles.
Qualifications:
2 – 4 years experience in electronic/ engineering labs
Technology/ Technician degree or equivalent experience
Electric vehicle experience is preferred
Strong electrical knowledge with soldering and harnessing skills
Familiarity with test equipment like voltmeters, oscilloscopes and network analyzers
Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
