Description of the Assignment


Join our Digital & Interaction team, a cross-functional group where interdisciplinary focus, curiosity, and drive are highly valued. We collaborate closely with all design departments to shape the future of mobility experiences.

As an Interaction Designer, you will work on user interface concepts for the current market and take a visionary approach to shape the digital and physical automotive experience of the future. You will contribute to the development, evaluation, and documentation of novel, multi-modal HMI concepts and information architectures for digital and physical touchpoints, including infotainment, driver information, and telematics.


 

Key Responsibilities for this role:

 
  • Create and explore interactive experiences and content distribution between multiple screens and interaction points
  • Research and design refined experiences with a driver focused mindset but also enable trust building transitions to high level ADAS and autonomous driving features.
  • Collaborate closely with function owners and developers to iterate designs for the automotive sector.
  • Apply systems thinking to information and experience design, engaging users through physical and digital touchpoints
 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

 
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction design, human computer interaction or related field
  • Good knowledge of the HMI design process and best-practices
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive HMI design and development
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, engineers, strategists, and product managers throughout the design process
 
  • Previous experience and good knowledge of function distribution and design for DIM and HUD (Heads up Display)
  • Previous experience in developing interfaces to meet safety/driver distraction standards
  • Previous experience in automotive user research and requirement definitions

Additional Information:

 
  • Occasional travel to China may be required (approximately 1-2 trips per year).
  • High level of responsibility and autonomy is expected.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Driver’s license required.
