Key Responsibilities:
- Develop full-scale clay models based on design sketches and CAD data, working closely with the design and engineering teams.
- Refine and sculpt detailed interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring the design intent is accurately represented in the physical model.
- Collaborate on concept car and production vehicle projects, contributing to high-profile milestones such as Design Freeze.
- Use a combination of traditional sculpting techniques and CNC milling to create precision models.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to ensure physical models meet high-quality standards for presentations and evaluations.
- Regularly present models to design leaders and adapt to feedback in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Clay Modeller in the automotive industry or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of automotive design processes and model-making techniques.
- Familiarity with CNC milling machines, 3D printing, and related workshop tools.
- Excellent hand-sculpting skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and hard modelers.
- High level of creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring clean and accurate models for reviews.
