In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise digital models that push the boundaries of automotive interiors. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the future of car design. Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality Class-A surfaces for vehicle components, including dashboards, consoles, and doors, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and technical standards.
Create and refine 3D CAD models using tools such as Alias, Blender, and Maya, integrating them seamlessly with engineering and design requirements.
Ensure surface modeling is done to the highest standards, focusing on curvature continuity, symmetry, and surface integrity (no gaps or spans).
Collaborate closely with designers and engineers to balance design intent with manufacturability.
Utilize VRED to prepare and present visually striking virtual models, applying materials and textures for design reviews.
Work within Sub D and ensure deliverables are formatted for consortium applications.
Optimize CAD models for 3D printing, milling, and virtual presentations, ensuring the files are organized for easy access and modification.
Deliver assemblies in multiple formats, including.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a CAD Architect or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Class-A surfacing.
Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Alias, Blender, Maya, and VRED.
Expertise in creating Class-A surfaces and complex surface models for automotive interiors.
Good knowledge of Grasshopper is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering both creative and technically feasible solutions.
Strong collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and modelers to achieve design objectives.
