Technicon Design US is seeking an experienced and talented automotive Clay Sculptor with a strong desire to work in a collaborative studio environment shaping the vehicles of tomorrow.

This position is located in North Hollywood, CA and all applicants must be willing to work onsite.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Clay Sculptor to join our dynamic team. Responsible for the sculpting of finished clay Three Dimensional (3D) scale and full size exterior and interior models of proposed corporate products. Work involves a considerable amount of creativity and initiative. Exercise wide latitude for independent judgment with only general supervision given by management.

Essential Job Functions: (Include but are not limited to)

· Single point contact for design management
· Lead contract modeler team
· Aid in design and engineering problem solving
· Apply clay to armatures
· Set templates to clay
· Take dimensions from model with data acquisition equipment to obtain accurate measurements
· Use clay modeling equipment
· Create 3D clay concept or production models
· Put dimensional information on model for checking or duplication
· Create new and improves existing clay and digital models using templates, points, and other software program data provided by a supervisor or designated leader
· Produce finished model to specifications
· Coordinate input from internal and external customer to better understand customer needs and or perceptions
· Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
· Actively identify new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
