The CMF Designer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) activities locally at the US studio, while also promoting the design values of the company abroad to maintain brand continuity.
The CMF Designer is a multidisciplinary individual who develops comprehensive Color & Material concepts across a diverse range of vehicle programs—from advanced design studies to annual model refreshes. Managing programs end-to-end, the designer drives innovative ideas, integrates cross-functional team feedback, and oversees industrialization through final spec sheet release. This individual has extensive experience with and comprehensive understanding of all aspects of CMF design including graining, perforation, embossment, color theory, material science etc. The position builds and maintains strong relationships with external material suppliers while collaborating closely with key internal groups—such as the Accessories team for production-ready items, and the Brand Style team on spatial design, event proposals, and marketing assets. Throughout, this role supports a positive, professional, and creative atmosphere within the broader design studio.
