Technicon Design are seeking a talented and visionary Automotive Exterior Components & Lighting Designer to join our clients dynamic design team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the next generation of exterior vehicle design, with a special focus on cutting‑edge lighting concepts and advanced surface development.
🔧 About the Role
As an Exterior Components & Lighting Designer, you will:
- Create and deliver high‑quality design proposals aligned with established design briefs and project constraints.
- Produce creative, technically feasible design solutions for complex exterior components and lighting systems.
- Prepare and present compelling visual material for internal and external design reviews.
- Actively participate in cross‑functional design and engineering reviews.
- Attend project and engineering meetings to support design alignment.
- Collaborate closely with, and provide guidance to, digital and physical (prototype) modelers throughout the development process.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for someone with:
- A Master’s degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or an equivalent discipline.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing design development, thinking, and execution.
- Proficiency in key design tools, including:
- Photoshop
- Alias
- Blender
- V‑Red
- Vizcom
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate and justify design concepts.
- Strong teamwork abilities and a highly collaborative mindset.

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal (Mandarin proficiency is considered an asset).
