Technicon Design is hiring an experienced Facilities and Lab Manager to support our client in Southeast Michigan. This position is on-site in an office and lab/shop environment, where the Facilities and Lab Manager will leverage strong organizational, communication, maintenance, and project management skills.
Job Duties:
General Assistance with tasks and upkeep of EV Lab
Receiving and distributing packages.
Setting up desks, furniture, monitors and other computer peripherals as needed.
Coordinating with IT HQ as needed.
Coordinate with IT to help troubleshoot building network issues and connect employees to IT resources.
Helping to keep building areas clean and well-organized.
Filing work orders for significant hospitality upkeep (coffee vending, etc.), office and Lab supplies.
Identifying building maintenance issues and mechanical problems and manage work orders with Trades.
Helping to set up flex space for special events and meetings.
Helping to orient new employees to the building. Manage supplier and partner visits including any security requirements.
Helping to create and foster an inviting, pleasant workplace for employees by helping to decorate the building and organize social team-building activities (group lunches, meet-ups, “Bring Your Cool Car to Work” day, etc.)
Helping to perform basic fabrication and prototyping work.
Managing and performing light machine maintenance and cleaning.
Helping aerodynamics team to load wind tunnel models.
Pick up / deliver parts, tools, supplies, and test articles to/from local destinations.
