Technicon Design is hiring an experienced Industrial (Automotive/Transportation) Designer in the Detroit Metro area.

Key requirements and responsibilities:

• Skilled in translating complex insights and strategic opportunities into novel, tangible physical product concepts.
• This includes expertise in form exploration, ergonomics, material considerations, and creating initial low-fidelity prototypes (physical or digital renderings/models) to communicate and evaluate design intent early in the process.
• Experience collaborating closely with UX designers and Design Researchers is essential. 
• Translating these insights and opportunities into tangible concepts and low-fidelity prototypes, which are essential for exploring form, function, and initial feasibility during the early phases of design and development.
