Purpose of the Job
•  The Creative Designer role appears within A&CD in two versions, as Designer for the products and its three-dimensional areas and components, and as Designer for Color, Material and Finish matters (CMF Designer)
•  Support the Studio Manager in delivering Advanced Creative Design (A&CD) objectives.
•  Develop creative mobility solutions which embody the company’s brand DNA and Perceived Quality values and are perceived by customers as best in class.
•  Create design solutions that are compliant to applicable technical, contractual, legal and standards requirements.
•  Timely delivery of A&CD deliverables to support project milestones.
•  Work to A&CD processes and policies.
•   Work together with stakeholders who affect or are affected by appearance requirements.
•  Be aware of design trends.
•  Be in charge of definition and physical developments of all visible surfaces of a project, either exterior and interior.

Main Responsibilities
•  With the Senior Creative Designer, analyze the customer specifications, the Company Tender (design book), the cultural context and the competitive offer (materials, perceived quality, graphics, colors) to ensure the projects and tenders have the right level of service
•  Research on culture, trends, and long-term tendencies for C&T
•  Understanding and interpreting customer/market requirements delivering innovative cost-effective solutions which meet applicable functional and appearance requirements.
•  Participating and leading as necessary work packages during tenders, delivery projects and Research and Development activities.
•  Design and/or adjust creative proposals (Exploratory and contextual research, inspiration boards and arguments, graphic creation of patterns, realization of color boards and explicit materials) to offer customers choices, integrating technical and economic constraints and project planning
•  Ensuring that proposed design solutions embody the company’s DNA and Perceived Quality values.
•  Effectively communicating design proposals and solutions using a variety of techniques including but not limited to sketches, renderings, Alias Models, and specification documents.
•  Working as part of multi-functional engineering team.
•  Working with external partners.
•  Manage the suppliers in charge of the production of primary samples.
•  Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of A&CD processes
•  Successful completion of bid and delivery projects through the timely completion of agreed deliverables.
•  Keeping abreast of technological developments and looking to enhance mobility solutions.
•  Ensuring the archival of completed projects and implementable materials to benefit future projects.

Mandatory Educational Requirements
•  Design Degree essential.
•  Good written and spoken English.

Mandatory Experience
•  4 years or more of professional experience.

•  Must sit in the Eastern Time Zone
•  Solid understanding of design processes.
•  Experience of contributing product design thinking and skills to multifunctional engineering teams.
•  Experience of designing for manufacture and assembly using the range of materials and methods used in the rail industry.
•  Good speech and argumentation with internal and external customers.
